THE Australian dollar is more than half a US cent higher following gains on the New York stock market.
At 6.30am AEDT today, the currency was trading at 102.67 US cents, up from 102.18 cents yesterday afternoon.
The Australian dollar gained ground early today as US stock markets moved into positive territory after initially opening lower.
